As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I do not prescribe medication(s), though I am happy to refer clients for medication evaluations if desired.
My process involves helping clients reclaim conscious authority over their well-being, actions, and relationships. By examining conditioned reactive tendencies, I support people to break ineffective patterns and access the inner calmness and clarity of their deepest self beyond the limited scope of the rational mind. Here one can access the natural wisdom and compassion of the heart. I support clients to identify and work though the emotional injuries and core vulnerabilities that humans often develop in early life, which are frequently at the root of problems in the present. I have been trained in yoga by Dharma Mittra of Dharma Mittra Yoga Center in New York City. For clients that are interested, I can include basic yoga postures, calming breath work, and relaxation techniques such as guided imagery and body scans if desired.
"We will try today to find the source of healing, which is in our minds...It is not further from us than ourselves."
